So our dog has been with us almost a week! The first few days, I didn't think she would last this long. I was almost afraid to post about her because I thought I would take her back..but alas, I think she is a keeper.
Her name is Sadie (named by a previous owner or the pound) and she is a Chihuahua mix. She was saved from the pound so we didn't know too much about her. She is 2 years old..house trained,crate trained and very mellow. She would sit on a lap all day long if she had her way. HOWEVER..she doesn't like strange men or strange 10 year old boys. I think she was abused by a teenage boy or something. She does warm up very quickly though once she doesn't feel threatend anymore. We are still trying to figure things out, since a dog is all new territory to me.

Good for you. I'm not sure if we will ever get a dog. I'm not a big fan of having dogs in my house, but I feel bad leaving them outside all the time too. What to do?
Wow! A dog???? You must have gotten very brave. I remember how much you used to enjoy them. Glad things are going well.
