The good news: We had an amazing time in California.
I just want to rub it in that on New Years Eve, while my friends were freezing their tushes off..I was in 70 degree weather, riding on a yacht, watching dolphins and sea lions play in the ocean.
On New Years Day, I was at Sea World watching dophins and sea lions, but they weren't nearly as happy as the ones we saw the day before...but I was still on cloud nine!
We went to Legoland and had such a good time, we did the bounceback special and went again. Ben loved examining all of the amazing things that Lego engineers built with Lego bricks. The girls loved the rides. Fun for each of our kids!
We spent one day at Disneyland, which really isn't even close to being enough. I remember the day when you went to Disneyland and were able to do each of the rides in one day. Now, you spend most of the day in line, so we only were able to do maybe half of the rides. That is ok though, since we FORCED the girls to do Splash Mountain, and they didn't trust us on any of the rides. Paige was so scared after Splash Mountain, that she wouldn't go on any rides that were boat rides. She refused to even do Small World. Oh well, the looks on their faces in the photo taken on Splash Mountain was priceless!
The wedding was beautiful and fun. It was a real party!
We stayed with a widow lady named Marjean. She had a huge house and beds for each of us. She fed us breakfast and helped us pack a lunch for each day. She was so nice and thoughtful. The girls just loved her to pieces. Marjean learned the way to get to my kids hearts is to buy junk food...they were hers at the word SUGAR!
