Church callings.

4 years ago, I was called as the Ward Activity Chair. Planning parties..loved it!
I had the blessing of being in the primary for the last 2 years as the chorister. Singing songs and being goofy..loved it!
So, after being in this ward for 4 years, I have only had "the goofball" callings.
I thought, maybe the bishop thinks I am a goofball.

I made the mistake of saying that outloud a few months ago.
I got released.

Today I taught my first Gospel Doctrine lesson. NOT A GOOFBALL CALLING. I have decided, my hidden talent is being a goofball..cuz I became one in Gospel Doctrine today. I have been home for a few hours, and haven't been fired yet..we will see!

Just a side note, I haven't taught a class with men in it since my mission--14 years ago. So, I accidentally called the men "Elder Farmer" instead of brother....oh brother!
Good thing Sister Missionaries and sisters now have the same title..it makes things so much easier for the frazzled!

I am sure you did a great job! People enjoy their S.S. teacher having a sense of humor. :)

OH NO! =)

I JUST READ YOUR COMMENT ON MY BLOG....

I AM A TOTAL NEANDERTHALL MOST OF THE TIME.

AT OTHER TIMES I AM THE BIGGEST MUSH BALL AND GET TOTALLY INTENSE ABOUT STUFF AND THEN MY FAMILY KNOWS I MUST REALLY FEEL STRONG ABOUT WHATEVER IT IS I AM TALKING ABOUT.... CUZ I DONT GET THAT SERIOUS OFTEN!

SO WHEN I DIE DONT LET THEM HAVE CLOWNS AT MY FUNERAL .... MAKE SURE THEY KNOW I HAD SOME SORT OF REVERENCE IN ME OK!

IT DOESNT USUALLY STICK AROUND LONG BUT IT'S IN THERE hEE HEE HEE!

LUV YA LOTS AND JUST SO YA KNOW - YOU ARE A FABULOUS TEACHER!

wow! Gospel Doctrine huh? Good luck with all THAT.

I'm cool with the goofball part of Primary chorister, but coming up with stuff is already hard after only 4 months

I really enjoy your teaching style, and you're not THAT goofy!

I bet you are a fantastic Gospel Doctrine teacher...the best ones are the ones who don't know everything and bring it down to everyone else's level...so goofball teaching is totally the style I prefer! ;) Atleast everyone stays awake AND maybe learns something!
